Windsor Ridge at Westborough, a General Investment and Development (GID) property, is an older townhouse community that is being revitalized through the recent addition of a clubhouse/amenity center with an attached model unit.

GID called upon the CURRIER & Associates team to design the new facility to appeal to young families via the amenity center’s fitness facility, tot/play room, community room and gourmet teaching kitchen, as well as the new model unit.

The architecture of Windsor Ridge’s residential buildings reflects a strong Colonial style, which the CURRIER team skillfully echoed in the new clubhouse design. The interior design for the main lobby is transitional, with traditional accent pieces such as ornate table desks for leasing agents, demilune tables flanking the Community Room entrance doors, and a rich red and gold tapestry fabric on the lounge chairs and sofa pillows in the waiting area.

The Community Room features a flexible and family-friendly layout with an audio/visual system for resident gatherings or parties. The room’s interior is casual but elegant, with durable finishes and comfortable furniture.

For residents’ convenience, the Tot/Play Room is adjacent to the Exercise Room. The Clubhouse Kitchen is designed for hosting cooking classes or large gatherings, featuring top of the line GE stainless steel appliances and a six-burner gas cook top.

The attached model unit reinforces the family theme, with the second bedroom presented as a child’s room.

This project was completed in November of 2004.
