Senior Designer “It is not a question of how well each team member works: Results come from how well they all work together." Kris is a versatile, seasoned interior designer valued equally for her creative and production skills. She enjoys creating interiors that are both functionally effective and socially relevant. Kris has strong architectural and exhibit design expertise, having completed designs for institutional, healthcare, retail and housing clients for more than 16 years. She has participated in projects which have ranged from major zoos and museums to the headquarters for a major pharmaceutical company. Kris has also been a designer for the Boston Nature Center, Boston's first 'green' building, and the Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, which was awarded the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) highest designation for high-performing green buildings. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College and a Masters of Architecture from Rice University.
Project Designer “Teamwork involves every person putting in an equal amount of effort to create a result that is above what was expected." Kate's career with CAI began in her senior year at Endicott College, when she worked on specification documents, furniture layouts, presentation boards and installation activities. Her educational and internship experiences provided her with a solid understanding of design requirements and process for institutional, residential and commercial clients. These experiences reinforced her understanding and appreciation for the importance of consistent client communications and working with reliable vendors. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, she worked with a residential design firm before joining CAI. As a member of our design team, she conducts extensive vendor research and contributes to the development of design, floor plan production and specification documentation.
Designer “The quality of work that an individual can accomplish pales in comparison to that which a hardworking team can achieve." Amanda joined CAI during her senior year at Endicott College, working in a variety of research, design and communications areas. With both a strong educational background and experience in the field through various internships, she has developed a sound understanding of the design process and how to meet or exceed client's expectations. Amanda will graduate from Endicott in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and a Concentration in Sustainable Design. As a member of the CAI team, she produces renderings, presentation boards, specification documents, and conducts comprehensive vendor and sustainable product research.
Project Manager “Creating a collaborative culture among team members has always been a priority to me, particularly in managing complex construction projects where the individual contributions of each party are essential to the whole process working smoothly." Sarah, a LEED-certified project manager with a passion for helping clients create sustainable designs, offers more than 26 years of demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary teams, large budgets and critical schedules for corporate and commercial clients. She has worked privately as a facilities manager and has operated her own business representing owners during the planning, implementation and completion of relocation and construction projects. Sarah has overseen a variety of projects from high-tech clean room to corporate renovations to a state-of-the-art learning center. She holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies from the University of Maryland. In addition to being a LEED-Accredited Professional (LEED AP), Sarah is a professional member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC), the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA), and Seacoast Green Builders Coalition.
