The Saints Women’s Center for Health and Wellness brings an inspiring new level of specialized women’s health expertise, care and comfort to women throughout the Merrimack Valley region. Created in a refurbished 10,000 square foot facility in North Andover, the Women’s Center is designed to provide exceptional care from breast health and imaging to gynecological services in a spa-like setting. The exceptional ambiance includes gentle music, a soothing water feature, cozy locker rooms with comfortable robes and a lounge area in which clients can relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

The CURRIER team’s design took inspiration from the soothing spas in Bali. Using soothing neutral colors with varying shades of green and plum accented with tasteful florals and artwork, the design incorporates Asian influences, including dark stained red oak woodwork and wavy metallic gypsum wall panels that evoke energy flowing through the space. Furnishings were carefully chosen to be warm and enveloping while maintaining a high level of functionality. Clustered ambient lighting was used to give a soft glow in the waiting rooms and a more technical level in the exam spaces.

In multiple exam and treatment rooms, the state of the art center offers the latest in digital mammography equipped with computer aided detection (CAD), as well as the latest in bone densitometry, which can scan both hips at the same time, examine further up to the thoracic spine, and examine body composition and percentage of body fat. The center also features the latest in ultrasound and stereotactic (biopsy) technology.

The outcome fulfills patient’s wishes – a soothing contemporary spa-like atmosphere with the latest technology and a wonderful staff. It appeals to all of women’s senses and makes visits to the premier women’s health care facility a real plus.
