Designing for the Future

Thanks to everyone who made the inaugural edition of our monthly e-newsletter such a success! Your comments have been valuable and insightful. If you missed it, find it online at Currier Designs. This month, we're pleased to explore an important and growing trend that is impacting all aspects of the design and build process - sustainable design.

When we talk about sustainable or "green" design, we focus on the long term impact of the products we consider in the design of a building or an interior environment. From the composition of paint to the origin of the material used to make furniture or flooring, we consider lifecycle costs and benefits and look for recycled or recyclable materials as often as possible. And the good news is it is becoming increasingly easy and cost-efficient to do so.

In this series of articles, we share with you a number of ways to think about sustainability and how to use and reuse materials. We hope you will be inspired to consider how you can integrate elements of sustainable design in your business - and your life.
