Assisted Living, Inc. Cambridge, MA CURRIER developed a building finish and furnishings program for Neville Manor that enhances the character of this historical Georgian facility, which overlooks private grounds and lovely water views on the Fresh Pond Parkway. Originally built in 1928 as the Cambridge Home for the Aged, the facility was converted into a skilled nursing facility in 1974-75. A $7.4M renovation completed in 2001 includes 71 assisted living and Alzheimer's resident units, complemented by a variety of common spaces. For this renovation project, CURRIER introduced colors with a historic yet fresh and up-to-date look and feel. Special care was given to cueing residents at each of the four levels, by creating different carpet medallions at each elevator, as well as different colors for each corridor. The main dining room is simple and elegant, highlighting oversized windows that overlook the beautiful landscape. CURRIER also purchased and installed all furniture, furnishings, artwork and accessories. |
