In support of the Going Green Initiative, CURRIER & Associates is encouraging all of its team members to respect the above and do the following, both at home and in the office:

• Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
• Switch all incandescent light bulbs to compact fluorescents.
• Copy and print to both sides of the paper to cut paper usage in half.
• Use reusable bags whenever possible.
• Turn off any electrical appliances when not in use.
• Turn off monitors each night.
• Reuse water bottles and coffee mugs.
• Get a free energy audit from local utility provider – we completed one for the offices in 2007.
• Take advantage of natural light whenever possible and turn off lights if you don’t need them.
• Switch to EnergyStar appliances that can get you a tax refund and save energy – we replaced one refrigerator and an oven with new EnergyStar products.
• Fill or plug any cracks or leaks with weather stripping and caulking – completed for the office in 2007.
• Buy non-toxic cleaning supplies.
• Buy recycled paper products and any other recycled products whenever possible.
• Know what can and can’t be recycled, and get in the habit of recycling everything possible. By being conscious of this, we have increased the company’s recycle volume by over 30% in 2008.
