The Atrium at Cedars
Portland, ME
The Atrium at Cedars is a $10 million independent living residence project that CURRIER completed at the campus that also houses the Cedars Nursing Care Center. The goal of the overall design was to create a traditional and elegant yet light and uplifting atmosphere.
The main atrium is a magnificent three-story space appointed with a marble
floor and fine hospitality furnishings. It also features a library with a fireplace,
which CURRIER furnished with leather sofas and chairs to evoke a traditional, classic
look and feel.
Other well-appointed spaces include the private dining room and dining terrace,
as well as a bistro/cafe, living room, activity room and fitness room. Casual
porches and patios provide additional areas of comfort, and the courtyard, typically
used for cocktail parties, lends a finished touch to the facility.
