In early 2010, the formerly called BayView Assisted Living, Compass on the Bay re-opened as a Memory Support Assisted Living Community. The project was a redesign of 20,000 square feet of the building and innovative research-based programming that treats the symptoms of those living with memory problems.

Compass on the Bay is located across from Carson Beach with water views and easy access to familiar landmarks such as the L Street Bathhouse and Castle Island. The community features 39 lovely apartments, comfortable community rooms, a large front porch overlooking Dorchester Bay, and a quiet backyard with several patios.

As the team interior design firm, CURRIER incorporated a nautical theme in keeping with the location and demographics of its residents. A bright and airy living room and private dining area is at the front of the building done in shades of blue and yellow with nautical accessories. The community dining room has restaurant style seating and the walls are a warm and cozy shade of red. The secured memory support wing features a retro country kitchen complete with fun appliances, jukebox and coke a cola memorabilia. The seating is family style and the dining area opens to a secure courtyard for outdoor activities.
