CURRIER & Associates Wins Prestigious Design Award

Newburyport, Mass.—October 24, 2008—CURRIER & Associates, Inc., a full-service interior design firm specializing in creating enriching environments for living, healing and working, today announced it was presented “the Best Overall Facility Design” award for its creation of the Stafford Hill Assisted Living community in Plymouth, MA, which opened earlier this year.

Presented by the 50-Plus New England Housing Council at its “Best of New England Awards Gala” held Oct. 22nd in Westborough, MA, CURRIER was honored for its excellence within the category of design for service-enriched retirement communities. CURRIER’s design team included Melanie Conant, senior designer, and Casey Caruso, project designer. 

Stafford Hill Assisted Living, which is owned and operated by The Northbridge Companies of Burlington, MA, is an 85-apartment, state-of-the-art assisted living community with three stories of residences including a dedicated Alzheimer’s unit. CURRIER contributed to the successful major re-development of this former nursing home into an award-winning community by creating interiors based on a nautical theme which captured the warm and welcoming feel of life in a New England town.

Earlier this year, CURRIER also received recognition in The Boston Business Journal as one of the top 25 interior design firms in the state. CURRIER was the only free-standing interior design firm on the list.
